Re: Official 2021 PCFF Offseason Thread

Attached is the correct status of keeper eligible players.  I made a mistake by moving players up a round from last year’s draft.  It has been double-checked and corrected.

As a refresher:

Any player selected in the 6th round or later is eligible to be kept entering the following season’s draft.  The latest round that can be used to keep a player is the 12th round.  (If a player was selected in the 15th round last season and you want to keep him, it will cost you a 12th.)

If you keep a player drafted in the 10th round last season, it will cost you a 10th this year.  If you want to keep him next season, it will cost you a 9th, and an 8th the following season, etc.  A players can be kept for 5 seasons, not including the player’s initial season.  For example, if you drafted a guy in the 6th Round last year and you keep him 5 years, it will look like this:

2020 – Drafted in the 6th

2021 – keeper 1 - 6th

2022 – keeper 2 - 5th

2023 – keeper 3 - 4th

2024 – keeper 4 - 3rd

2025 – keeper 5 – 2nd

If a player is drafted after the 9th round, dropped and then picked back up, it will cost a 9th to keep him.  If a player is drafted in the 6th, 7th or 8th round, dropped and picked back up, they can be kept for the Round they were drafted.

Some things have been lost with message boards crashing, so to simplify, moving forward, traded picks are fair game.  They can be re-traded and used to keep a player.  We had frozen picks once they were traded as we averaged probably 10-15 trades a season and keeping up with the draft board became a nightmare.  With the new format, trades are down and it is actually more complicated regarding keeper status and thus is not necessary.

Any rule changes need to be proposed soon, especially if they affect scoring as that needs to be considered when naming keepers.  It takes a majority of 6 votes to change a rule or put in a new one.

It looks like we’re a go for the 21st.  As we get closer to that date, it will get more difficult to move, so if you have a conflict, you need to speak up sooner rather than later.  As of now, keepers are due Saturday, August 14th at midnight.  They can be changed up until midnight before the Draft.  The Draft will be at my house and arrangements will be made so that those not in attendance can follow along via zoom  or something similar and make their selections that way.

Annual Kicker Elimination Proposal

Argument- It's a pointless position in fantasy football. Elite league's eliminated this position years ago.
